**The Role**

Our client is seeking experienced Freedom of Information (**FOI**) Advisers to work on secondment with a high profile federal government department, processing and making decisions on requests for access to documents under the _Freedom of Information Act 1982_ (Cth) (**FOI Act**).

**The Responsibilities**‍
**- undertake processing of FOI requests and requests for internal review in accordance with the FOI Act and our client’s FOI Business Rules;**:

- manage reviews of our client’s FOI decisions by the OAIC, including the drafting of submissions;**:

- provide expert legal and strategic advice related to a wide range of high-profile FOI matters for our client, Ministers and whole-of-government stakeholders;**:

- liaise and engage with key stakeholders including other government agencies; and**:
**The Requirements**

Previous experience working as an FOI Officer Adviser in a federal government department and an NV1 clearance is essential.
