Therapy Partners is an established Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Behaviour Support and Psychology provider that works alongside people with disabilities and their families.
Our focus is to work together with all to build a community where all people are empowered and supported. We provide a variety of services throughout the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be able to utilise your Behavioural Science/Psychology/Social Work/Therapist background to assist participants and their support network to improve their quality of life.
Job Description
You will be empowered to provide quality and specialist behaviour support through assessment, observation, and analysis, as well as the provision of support services and assistance in the development and evaluation of behaviour support and intervention programs for children, young people, and adults with disabilities. This role will involve the following:
- Conduct Functional Behavioural Assessments using a range of appropriate assessments
- Develop Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
- Liaise and consult with clients, hospital and community staff, carers/family members, relevant agencies and government departments as appropriate
- Provide direct behavioural interventions in group and individual settings
- Use behavioural, psychological and evidence-based theories to develop and implement strategies and interventions
- Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Adhere to NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission requirements
- Identify, report, and document the use of restrictive practices
- Prepare customer records, including timely and effective file notes, support plans, reports and other correspondence
- Complete incident reports and any other mandatory reports as and when required.

Skills and Experience
- Must be a current Core or Proficient Behaviours Support Practitioner.
- At least 2 years of experience as a practitioner.
- Must hold a tertiary qualification in Education, Behavioural Science, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or an associated clinical field.
- Must hold a current NDIS registration as a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner in accordance with the NDIS Capability Framework.
You must also hold:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current Driver's License
- QLD WWCC
