About the role

Quality of Life Behaviour Support is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be providing high-quality behaviour support services to individuals with disabilities in the Greater Brisbane areas. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a key part in supporting our clients to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct assessments to understand the behaviour support needs of clients
  • Develop personalised behaviour support plans to address behaviours of concern
  • Provide one-on-one and group-based behaviour support interventions
  • Collaborate with clients, their families, and other service providers to ensure a coordinated approach
  • Monitor and review behaviour support plans to ensure continued effectiveness
  • Maintain detailed client records and contribute to reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the development of best practices

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as psychology, social work, or allied health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Suitability with NDIS to practice as a behaviour support practitioner
