This hybrid role within the Corporate Services branch at The Administrative Review Tribunal can be located in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney. This position is available primarily on a full-time ongoing basis however non-ongoing can also be considered.
Remuneration:
The annual salary range for the position is EL1 $117,665 - $138,493 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.
About the opportunity
This exciting role will see you promoting public trust and confidence in Tribunal decision-making by publishing decisions in a privacy-compliant and efficient manner, influencing policies and systems, and managing a small dynamic professional team.
The Assistant Director, Decisions Publication leads the development of policy and guidance, manages the high-level work program and staff of the Decisions Publication team and provides advice to senior management. The role also collaborates with other teams and contributes to the development of decisions publication software, case management and other online systems and processes.
About you:
You will be experienced in developing and providing advice and recommendations to senior management to promote compliance and best practice and be able to think strategically and exercise sound judgement and initiative to promptly address issues and improve decision publication governance and processes.
To be successful you will have:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Tribunal's decisions publication-related legislative, policy and procedural frameworks, or ability to gain such knowledge.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, including resource planning, performance management and capability development.
- Demonstrated experience in developing authoritative, researched advice, guidance and recommendations on case management systems, and decisions publication policy, procedures and issues that support efficiency, compliance and best practice.
- Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including an ability to convey technical and complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence change, manage projects and achieve organisational outcomes.
- Ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgement and take initiative to implement opportunities for improvement or new ways of working.
Essential:
- Experience publishing legal decisions/judgements.
- Experience leading a team that ensures legal material complies with legislative, policy and procedural requirements
- The Tribunal requires Australian Citizenship as a condition of engagement.
- All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and complete a health declaration.
