EPOC SAFF Field Technician
Location: Nowra, NSW
Full-time | On-site
Reports to: After Sales & Service Manager – Global Operations / HMAS Albatross Project Manager
Start Date: 10 November 2025
Role Purpose
To undertake qualified and competent SAFF Field Technician activities in accordance with EPOC policy and procedure to successfully deliver tasks as required.
SAFF Technician positions sit within the After Sales and Service Dept and are under the overall supervision of the SAFF Regional Operations Manager.
What You'll do:
• Commissioning of SAFF plants on delivery to site
• Perform comprehensive maintenance tasks i.a.w. SAFF20/40 Operations and maintenance manual
• Scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks
• Equipment repairs and replacement
• Fault finding, diagnosis and trouble shooting of SAFF plants
• Procurement of replacement parts
• HMI interface and control monitoring
• Integrity testing and line testing
• Decanting hazardous waste in a safe and compliant process
• Tank cleaning/confined space entry
• Disposal of hazardous waste i.a.w. local regulatory guidelines
• Site inspections
• Parts/equipment purchasing
• Forklift/telehandler loading and unloading
• Rubbish disposal
• Ad hoc duties to ensure ongoing integrity of SAFF systems
• Supervise the work of contractors and sub-contractors engaged by EPOC Systems
• Supervise Trades Assistants where required
• Liaise with EPOC client's onsite representatives
• Preparation of reports outlining the work undertaken and the results of any tests performed
• Responsible for EPOC assets.
• Participating in trials and procurement of new team assets.
• Reporting details of expenditure of EPOC funds.
• Reporting of payroll information.
• Responsible for assisting with project specific technical planning of EPOC minor projects.
• Engage subject matter experts as required
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
- Mechanical fitting trade certificate.
- Regional or state-based Health & Safety qualification.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID and technical drawings.
- Strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding ability.
- Pressure testing competency.
- Confined space training.
- Forklift/telehandler license.
- Light commercial driver's license.
- NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance (with escort privileges).
Attributes

- Experience in water treatment plant operations.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Reliable task management and sound English proficiency.
Desirable
- Working at Heights and EWP certification.
- Electrical or supervisory qualifications.
- Water treatment plant experience.
- Welding, rigging, or civil/construction background.
- Project management or manufacturer installation training.
- Medium rigid driver's license.
