**The Role**
Are you a technician or junior/graduate engineer looking for rewarding employment with job security, no shift work and a relaxed coastal lifestyle? This is the job for you
The Navy Aviation System Program Office (NASPO) within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group is responsible for supporting current Navy Aviation capabilities, including the MH-60R Romeo helicopter, and is co-located with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Fleet Air Arm (FAA) in the Shoalhaven on the NSW South Coast.
A permanent full-time government employment opportunity is now available for technical practitioners, technicians and/or junior/graduate engineers to support the Royal Australian Navy’s MH-60R Romeo helicopter fleet in fulfilling both its’ Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Maritime Support Helicopter (MSH) roles.
The current position available is for a MH-60R Avionics-Systems Technical Team Lead; however, suitable applicants from specialists fields better suited to other APS6 Technical roles may be placed on a merit list and drawn upon if further APS 6 technical positions (not limited to avionics-systems) become available.

Successful liaison and management of internal and external stakeholders at all levels is essential to the role, including both suppliers and customers. In particular, noting the US Navy provides a range of MH-60R engineering and technical services via Foreign Military Sales agreement, to enable NASPO to meet its obligations as outlined above, the successful applicants will be expected to monitor and liaise with their US counterparts and NASPO internal supervisor in relation to all actions and activities their team has assigned to the US Navy to ensure timely delivery of technical products/responses including configuration changes, publication and publication amendments, engineering investigation outcomes and engineering determinations.
