Are you ready to take ownership of risk and compliance across a fast-growing, global organisation? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic technology and renewable energy business at the forefront of powering high-performance computing, AI workloads, and digital assets – all using 100% renewable energy.
This is a pivotal role where you'll have the chance to shape global frameworks, influence decision-makers, and contribute to the next phase of international growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you'll deliver oversight across global operations, ensuring frameworks are embedded effectively and compliance risks are well managed. This broad, hands-on role will see you engage with senior leaders, regulators, auditors, and external partners while driving continuous improvement.
You'll thrive here if you enjoy a fast-paced environment, bring a commercial lens to governance, and have the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead incident and breach management across business units and regions.
- Maintain and enhance group-level risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and obligation registers.
- Oversee compliance performance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Report material risks to senior leadership and the Board.
- Manage compliance in areas such as:
- SEC and SOX obligations
- WHS, OSHA, WorkSafe BC
- Employment law across AU, US, and Canada
- Immigration and visa compliance
- Licensing, permits, and construction-related compliance
- Global data privacy (APPs, GDPR, PIPEDA, US regimes)
- ESG and climate reporting (SEC, ISSB, AU frameworks)
- Industry standards (ISO, COSO, NIST, cyber security, anti-bribery, modern slavery)
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience developing and embedding risk and compliance frameworks in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with SOX, SEC reporting, ISO 31000, and COSO standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex compliance into practical solutions.
- Confidence engaging senior executives and boards.
- A commercial, collaborative mindset with global perspective.
What's on Offer
- Competitive salary package plus short- and long-term incentives.
- Flexible working hours to support collaboration across time zones.
- Occasional international travel (US & Canada).
- Purpose-driven culture and supportive, casual work environment.
