The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to join our small but fun team in a full time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality administrative and operational support across all areas of the People & Culture function. The HR officer role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records and systems, managing HR platforms including Employment Hero and the Learning Management System, and supporting the coordination and delivery of key HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and learning and development initiatives. The role is based at Gilles Plains, with flexibility to work from our other sites at Pirie St, or Noarlunga from time to time.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure HR processes comply with legislation and policies; support audits and continuous improvement.
  • Provide timely HR guidance; escalate complex matters and foster positive, inclusive workplace relationships.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and documentation to support compliance, audits, and management decision-making.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment administration, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and preparing employment documentation
  • Coordinate new starter onboarding and induction activities to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain induction materials and monitor completion of mandatory requirements.
  • Coordinate staff training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities.
  • Support the administration of performance management and goal-setting cycles.
  • Administer employee engagement initiatives such as recognition and values-based awards
  • Contribute to HR projects and change initiatives that improve organisational capability, culture, and engagement.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for workforce planning, wellbeing, and diversity initiatives.

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources administration or coordination role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms (preferably Employment Hero) and Learning Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, record management, and confidentiality requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
