Fulgent Australia is bringing world-class clinical genomics capabilities to Adelaide, backed by Fulgent Genetics (NASDAQ: FLGT) in the United States. Our testing supports clinicians and patients by providing high-quality genetic insights that help inform health decisions, reproductive planning, and diagnostic pathways.
Our work contributes to earlier answers, clarity for families, and more informed health choices – and we are proud to be building this capability right here in South Australia. We are seeking a capable and resourceful HR Manager to help build and strengthen our people and safety foundations as we grow. You will partner with leaders and teams who are genuinely passionate about the purpose of their work and the impact it has in healthcare.
If you enjoy supporting people, improving systems, and building culture in a values-aligned environment, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while growing your career.
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you will support the employee experience and people operations for our Australian team, working closely with the General Manager locally and our VP of Human Resources in the US.

- Support WHS training and onboarding for lab and office staff
- Coordinate return-to-work processes
- Partner with external WHS advisors and internal leaders
- Drive continuous improvement across WHS documentation and processes
- This role is perfect for someone who likes variety, values ownership, and enjoys building and strengthening frameworks in a growing environment.
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or similar.
- 3+ years' experience in an HR generalist role
- Understanding of Fair Work and employment legislation
- Foundational WHS experience (incident reporting, risk assessments, training support)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, curious mindset and confidence to seek clarity when needed
- Good judgement, organisation, and discretion
- Experience supporting managers and teams in day-to-day people matters
Nice to have (but not essential)
- Experience in healthcare, science, diagnostics, or a regulated environment
- Return-to-work coordination exposure
- Experience with Employment Hero or similar HRIS and/or Quality Management Systems
- If you don't meet every point but feel this role aligns to your strengths and ambitions, we'd still love to hear from you.
Why Join Fulgent?
- This is a growth phase role – perfect for someone who enjoys shaping and improving people operations in a purpose-driven environment.
