We're excited to advertise a new opportunity for a Desktop Engineer in our Canberra team, based in the Parliamentary Triangle. We're looking for a self-motivated and technically skilled professional to step into this important role.

This permanent position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a critical end-user computing function.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing responsive support for desktop and laptop environments, including Windows 10/11
• Supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications and services
• Implementing and managing Group Policy
• Investigating and resolving incidents and technical issues
• Participating in an on-call roster
• Following ITIL-aligned processes, including Change, Problem, and Incident Management
• Working closely with other IT team members and stakeholders
• Maintaining clear documentation and communicating effectively with end users

What you'll bring:

• Solid experience in desktop support
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, O365, and Group Policy
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management practices
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
• Baseline security clearance or higher.
