In 4 years Zoomo has helped transition millions of urban miles to light electric vehicles, built a team of >300 world class engineers, operators, sales staff and vehicle repair technicians; developed and deployed the world's best last mile delivery electric bikes and fleet management software; and successfully sold these fleet solutions into the world's leading logistics businesses.Zoomo vehicles are used by major players in the food, grocery and parcel delivery segments with partners including UberEats, Doordash, JustEat Takeaway, Deliveroo, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Amazon, FedEx, Getir, Ocado, GoPuff and many more.Expect to join a high-performing team where you are trusted to make a direct impact on our business, our customers and our planet.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Bicycle Mechanic with expertise in electric bike repair to join our team on a permanent full time basis, and be the face of Zoomo at our Melbourne location The successful candidate will work in a hybrid role; leading our store's retail Front of House - helping our riders get onboarded and giving them the skills they need to get riding, and using their technical expertise in the Back of House workshop to service and repair bikes, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and performing at their best.This role will require a reliable and confident self-starter who enjoys making an impact, working as a part of a team, and bringing the energy The successful individual will report into our City Operations Manager of Melbourne.Your main responsibilities will include:Ensure our riders have a seamless in-person support experienceTake our riders through their onboarding process and all safety requirementsHelp our riders troubleshoot any issues they may experiencePerform repairs and maintenance on Zoomo's e-bikes, including but not limited to: replacing batteries, motors, controllers, wiring, brakes, drivetrain components, and suspension systems.Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform advanced repairs, such as wheel truing, headset adjustments, and frame alignment.Communicate effectively with customers, answering questions and providing recommendations on bike maintenance, repair, and upgrades.Keep accurate records of all work performed on bicycles, including detailed notes on parts and labor.Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring that tools and equipment are in good condition and properly stored.Work closely with the City Operations Manager (who is primarily based in Sydney) to work on continuous process and operational improvements to ensure the store and team's success.RequirementsExperience with e-bikes and their electrical components i.e. lithium-ion batteriesExperience in a retail or customer facing operational environmentFantastic communication and customer service skillsStrong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasksComfortable working with tools and softwareExcellent attention to all the little details, with great pride in the quality of workA natural team player, humble and willing to get their hands dirty, helping othersA passion for bikes or cyclingBenefitsFree bike useaccess to your very own Zoomo e-bike to use, freeL&DLearning & Development Allowance and Leave Days to invest in your personal career growthExtra Annual Leave days  - "Zoomo Days" as a reward for your tenureWellbeingAccess to free and unlimited well-being support and professional counsellingDiscounted Health Insurance  - access to a discounted corporate rate for private healthPaid Parental Leave - A Zoomo funded scheme to support new parentsEmployee Referral Program  - to reward you for helping us hire other ZoomersRegular Social Events  - a dedicated "Joy Committee" who organise fun team events like pub feeds, team drinks, bowling etcZoomers currently represent 45 nationalities and we celebrate diversity and inclusion with equal opportunities for all.
