Tax Accountant (Junior – Intermediate)

Greenhalgh Pickard is seeking a motivated Tax Accountant to join our growing Sunshine Coast team. This role focuses on preparing and lodging Individual Tax Returns (ITRs) and BAS, while offering hands-on experience and clear career development opportunities.

The opportunity

As a Tax Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare and lodge Individual Tax Returns (ITRs)
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Assist senior accountants with tax compliance and general accounting tasks
  • Liaise with clients to gather information and respond to basic queries
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with ATO requirements
  • Support the team during peak tax season and with ad hoc tasks as required
You will bring
  • A degree (or currently studying) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 0–2 years' experience in Australian tax/accounting
  • Understanding of Australian tax law and ITR preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency and experience with Xero and ATO portal
