Grow Accounting are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our team in Woombye, Queensland. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality tax and accounting services to our growing client base. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise in the taxation field and contribute to the strategic direction of our firm.

While we would prefer a full-time accountant we are open to a part-time arrangement.

We are also happy to have discussions with accountants looking to bring their own client base with them.

What you'll be doing

  1. Managing your own clients and providing proactive, timely advise on a range of matters
  2. Preparing complex tax returns and financial statements for a diverse range of clients and their structures
  3. Providing expert tax planning and advisory services to minimise clients' tax liabilities
  4. Conducting detailed tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  5. Collaborating with the wider Accounting team to deliver integrated financial solutions
  6. Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team
  7. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. 8+ years of post-qualification experience in a tax role.
  3. Strong technical expertise in tax legislation and accounting standards
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with clients
  6. Proven track record of delivering high-quality, commercially-focused advice
  7. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and mentor more junior staff
