Requirements:

  • Must be Qualified Mechanic certification with minimum 3 years Australian Work Experience.
  • Must have Minimum Certificate III and IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology.
  • Must have Full work rights in Australia
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current and valid police clearance demonstrating good character and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • A commitment to prioritizing workplace safety
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards while carrying out enforcement and compliance duties.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with roadworthiness standards.
  • Verify compliance with licensing, registration, and permit conditions.
  • Prepare inspection reports, notices, and compliance records.
  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to improve vehicle performance and meet environmental regulations.
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation, safety standards, and compliance procedures.
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools and vehicle assessment technologies.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify safety and compliance risks.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prepare inspection checklists and reports
