We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Perth. This role primarily focuses on the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical equipment across various industrial applications. The successful candidate will work with a team of professionals to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of critical systems.

Job Description

  • Diagnose issues and carry out troubleshooting tasks to ensure proper machinery functionality.
  • Diagnose faults, dismantle, and replace defective parts.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble plant equipment, ensuring high-quality repair and refurbishment.
  • Perform maintenance, installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and piping systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, ensuring mechanical equipment works according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics to guide your work.
  • Collaborate with other team members to perform efficient installations and repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Mechanical or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of fixed plant mine site experinece.
  • Experience with repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication (desirable).
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

  • Driver Licence (Preferred)
  • White Card (Preferred)
  • Confined Space Entry (Preferred)
  • Work Safely at Heights (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:
