We are currently looking for a detail oriented, passionate
Activation Director
to join our team,

where you'd have the opportunity to work with a range of clients in entertainment, lifestyle, auto,

and finance.

This role is different to most other platform buying roles.
This is an opportunity to work in a
highly integrated agency
, collaborating heavily with
creative teams
to create truly holistic & innovative campaigns that deliver real and meaningful results for clients.

It is also a real opportunity for someone starting on their leadership journey, managing and leading a team of activation individuals. You will have a strong voice at the table internally as a knowledge base of everything media platforms, and be seen as a valued extension of our clients marketing teams and a trusted advisor for everything platform related. We are looking for individuals who have experience in any media buying platforms such as
Google

ads, DV360, Meta and Yahoo, TTD and Amazon ads
and wishes to continue to expand and experience differing technologies.

What you will need to bring to the table

  • A solid foundational understanding of marketing, communications and media fundamentals. What works, how it works best and why.
  • A strong understanding of how media buying platforms work, such as Google ads, Meta DV360 & Amazon ads. An understanding on how to translate a media plan into a buying strategy and implementation.
  • The ability to communicate clearly to clients and internal team members on how media buying platforms operate and why a campaign is set up in a specific way
  • An inquisitive nature and a thirst for personal development
  • Process and admin excellence – you'll appreciate that this detail is important for clients and to operate our business effectively, and therefore have a strong attention to detail and understanding of client financial management.
  • Experience in using a range of media/communications tools (e.g. Roy Morgan)
  • A minimum of 5-8 years experience.

The Nuts and Bolts Job Description Key Tasks:

  • Be responsible for a team that sets up, optimises and reports on media campaigns bought through a platform
  • Support the creation of media plans, using your in-platform experience to support the client and campaign objectives.
  • Manage and help develop media activation specialists who are early on in their career.
  • Help manage the business for identified key clients and be a contact for all platform related communications.
  • Insights/planning – Contribute to the development of strategic planning documents in line with strategic recommendation, across all digital platform-based channels, and integration with the wider media mix.
  • Lead the activation product for new business pitches where required.
  • Manage external digital partner relationships and ensure delivery of agreed tasks on timely manner

Process, admin & reporting:

  • Manage the preparation of client documentation and financial reconciliation across client business.
  • Budget management and forecasting for internal financials.
  • Set up processes to reduce human error rate for financial related tasks and pacing.
  • Approve and analyse all client account queries and ensure these are answered within agency guidelines.
  • Ensure that activity, that is booked, is loaded into financial systems accurately.
  • Ultimately responsible for managing the accurate and timely delivery of digital media reporting.

Internal Collaboration & Team Management:

  • Guide and develop junior media and creative staff members, sharing your digital knowledge, mentoring, and overall fostering a collaborative team environment of enthusiasm and success.
  • Help lift the overall standard of digital media practice within the agency through up-skilling of the other team members
