We are an Australian-owned and operated manufacturing company located in South East Melbourne, Victoria, with over 40 years of experience supplying quality products to both Australian and international markets.

We are seeking a CNC machinist to join our toolroom team on a casual basis to support plastic injection moulding production.

This is a hands-on, skilled role requiring the ability to independently operate CNC machinery, produce and maintain injection moulding tools, and ensure high-quality outputs in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate 3-axis vertical machining centres using FANUC controls
  • Perform 3D CAD/CAM programming
  • Set up and maintain cutting tools appropriate to machining requirements
  • Manufacture, modify, and repair plastic injection moulding tools and components
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Inspect finished parts to verify precision and adherence to tolerances
  • Collaborate with the maintenance toolroom team and engineer to meet operational needs

About you:

  • Minimum 3–5 years' CNC machining experience
  • Experience in a toolroom environment with exposure to injection moulding tools (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances and measurement equipment
  • Experience with 3D CAM software
  • Ability to work autonomously
