Australian Fluid Handling (AFH), a leader in the supply and manufacture of bespoke Engineered Skid Packaged Equipment, Fuel Systems, Specialist Process Pumps, and Gas Compressors, is seeking a talented and experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an 18-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial health of Australian Fluid Handling. You'll play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

· Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and Torishima Japan Group reporting requirements.

· Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop robust financial forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with company objectives.

· Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of variances and providing actionable insights.

· General Ledger Management: Oversee all general ledger operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely reconciliation of all accounts.

· Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight: Supervise and optimize accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring efficient cash flow management.

· Fixed Asset Management: Supervise the fixed asset register management, including capital expenditure tracking.

· Payroll & HR Support: Oversee payroll processing manage HR function, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

· Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Australian tax regulations (GST, FBT, Corporate Tax) and assist with external audit.

· System & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

· Ad-hoc Projects: Undertake various financial projects and analyses as required.

Qualifications:

· Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar financial leadership role.

· CPA or CA qualification is highly preferred.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong team management skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information.

· Strong computer literacy, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).
