About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Perth team. In this client-facing, relationship-driven role, you will be responsible for receiving client referrals, assessing their SDA funding and housing needs, and securing successful tenancy conversions for our SDA properties. You will work closely with support coordinators, housing assessors, allied health professionals, and other key stakeholders to ensure participants are matched with suitable homes, while optimising SDA funding outcomes.

This is a pivotal position in our business, driving tenancy outcomes and strengthening our market presence in Perth's SDA sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage new client referrals from the marketing strategies, assess client needs, and review SDA funding eligibility
  • Reach out to CRM contacts via phone call and emails
  • Establish relationship with new leads and proactively follow up on leads
  • Turn leads to Expressions of Interest and eventually tenants
  • Hand over EOI clients to the operations and customer engagement management team
  • Attend all networking events that we have been invited to and search for new opportunities to promote our brand.
  • Responsible for connecting Yaran's team with new contacts and setting up site visits and meetings
  • Conduct property viewings, housing needs assessments and tenancy discussions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with support coordinators, SIL providers, allied health professionals, and families
  • Match clients with available SDA vacancies while optimising funding utilisation
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in CRM systems (HubSpot, MYP)
  • Regularly report on business development KPIs, including conversion rates, client preferences, and funding trends
  • Collaborate with the Assistant BDM, Operations Manager, and Customer Engagement Manager to meet occupancy targets
  • Provide recommendations and insights for SDA portfolio development based on market trends and client feedback

Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, sales, or stakeholder engagement — ideally within the NDIS or healthcare/disability services sector
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS and Specialist Disability Accommodation (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management and follow-up capability
  • CRM experience (HubSpot, MYP, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-centered environment
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of people with disability through accessible housing

Key Deliverables

  • Learn SDA funding guidelines, CRM systems, and property portfolio
  • Manage client intakes, conduct property viewings, and liaise with stakeholders
  • Submit weekly reports on client leads, property viewings, and tenancy conversions
