Royal Fremantle Golf Club, located just 25 minutes from the Perth CBD and 5 minutes from Fremantle, is one of Western Australia's premier sporting clubs. Boasting a championship golf course and outstanding member facilities, the Club is one of the oldest golf Clubs in WA, formed some 120 years ago.  Since its formation the Club and has hosted numerous State and National Amateur golf events.

The Club is undergoing an exciting period of development with a view to attracting and engaging not only our membership base, but the entire community through investment in our Food & Beverage operations, external events and functions.  We seek the services of a motivated, organised and dynamic hospitality professional to help us achieve this objective.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, this person will support the Venue Manager in all aspects of food and beverage provision to members, visitors and guests.  This role will be ideally suited to someone who wishes to progress a career in the hospitality industry, or a seasoned hospitality professional looking for a lifestyle change in a rewarding and welcoming Club environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in overseeing the day to day running of the Food and Beverage Department working closely with the Venue Manager, Head Chef and service team
  • Assisting in the administration of all aspects of the Food and Beverage Department including preparing run sheets for events, placing stock orders, entering invoices
  • Front line service, including the supervision of other service staff to ensure the Clubs high standards are met at all times
  • Communicating, planning and coordinating external events & functions

In addition, the role will involve:

  • Managing staff to ensure service levels are consistent and of the highest possible standard
  • Staff recruitment and ongoing staff training
  • Driving revenue by maximising opportunities
  • Opening and closing clubhouse and reconciling daily takings

The successful candidate will have previous experience in working in a fast paced food and beverage role in a Club or restaurant environment.

In addition, we are looking for someone who possess the following attributes:

  • Strong organisational skills and a 'can do' attitude
  • Previous experience working at Supervisor level in a hospitality venue
  • Basic wine knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Hold a current WA Liquor License, or the ability to obtain one
  • High level of personal presentation and grooming
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills
  • Have a professional, friendly and engaging personality
  • Experience in event management and coordination
  • Experience with NorthStar Point of Sale System is desireable by not a pre-requisite for the role
