At Dr Machine, we are committed to driving innovation in engineering. Our focus is on delivering advanced solutions that improve productivity and efficiency across the stone industry. We're currently looking for an Engineering Technologist to join our team. This role will concentrate on optimizing and managing key technologies for the stone industry.

Role Overview:

As an Engineering Technologist, you'll be responsible for analyzing and refining both new and existing technologies. A key part of your job will be to perform root cause analysis and optimize stone cutting machines, improving the productivity of the client. You will conduct detailed analysis of materials such as marble, ceramics and engineering stone, adjusting and testing technologies to ensure they work effectively with these materials.

You will oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning of these machines to ensure they perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Analysis and Evaluation: Work directly with clients to understand their needs and make adjustments to existing technologies, focusing on improving productivity and project efficiency.

  • Installation and Implementation: Oversee the installation of new machines, troubleshooting any issues, optimizing their performance and train the clients team.

  • Reasearch and Development: Participation in technical design reviews with existing suppliers to optimize their product. Test new engineering technologies and materials, and create elaborate reports.

  • Quality Control and Testing: Develop and execute testing procedures to make sure that modified technologies perform well with different materials and in various settings.

  • Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in cutting and material processing technologies, applying new knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep records of project details like design documents, test results, and any correspondence. Draft technical reports, presentations, and documentation for both internal and external use. Work closely with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities to share updates and address any issues that come up.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on enhancing technology performance.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a client-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency with engineering software and tools.

  • A dedication to ongoing learning and staying current with industry developments.

  • Excellent knowledge of the Italian language (required).
