Our team manages every one of these locations, and we work together with our business units on all thing's property, from site acquisition through to asset management.

About the role 

A brand-new opportunity has opened for an Assistant Development Manager to be the right-hand person to our Development Managers in Victoria, assisting in various aspects of project management and property development.  

This role serves as a stepping stone towards a Development Manager position or other pathways within property, offering the opportunity for career growth for those committed to learning and development.

What you'll do 

Reporting to the Development Manager, you'll be empowered to assist and support in the delivery of retail/commercial freehold development projects. 

You'll also 

• Support the Property team in the delivery of new stores 
• Work with Store Development to deliver best outcomes for Coles Supermarkets and Retail Liquor Group 
• Assist in the delivery of development outcomes within pre-determined parameters. 
• Provide communication to, and assist in the management of, all project management resources. 
• Work collaboratively within your team to support each other  
• Engage with external consultants, property owners and stakeholders  

About you and your skills 

Ideal candidates will possess 2-3 years of experience in the property industry. 

You'll also have 

•    Planning, Building, Engineering or Architecture tertiary qualification  

•    An understanding of financial skills related to the property industry  

•    Working knowledge of construction contracts 

•    Proven experience in supporting managers and teams 

•    Ability to communicate effectively with key customers and external parties 

•    Self-motivated and able to work independently 

•    Strong organisational and planning skills.
