What's the role?

Join the Specialised Business Services (SBS) team, where you'll manage a portfolio of larger sub-standard and impaired customer relationships across Westpac's brands. 

This is a high-impact role focused on achieving better outcomes for both customers and the bank through proactive engagement, credit restructuring, and strategic risk management. 

You'll work closely with customers, advisers, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions, influence outcomes, and support the broader SBS purpose of minimising credit-related losses and maximising recovery.

This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.

What do I need?

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Advanced experience in corporate credit assessment and direct customer engagement
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with excellent business acumen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence outcomes
  • Deep understanding of loan structures, documentation, and security
  • Familiarity with commercial banking products and systems (desirable)
  • A strong grasp of the capital impact of stressed and impaired exposures
