Construction Project Manager – MEP / Building Services (Full-Time)

We are now seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager – MEP / Building Services to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, HVAC, and building services scope across large-scale construction projects.

The Role

As Construction Project Manager – MEP / Building Services, you will play a pivotal role in managing the planning, coordination, and delivery of all building services works. You will oversee services subcontractors, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and drive commissioning and handover to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all MEP/Building Services packages (mechanical, HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, BMS, vertical transport).
  • Oversee the design coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning of building services systems.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, programs, and risk registers relating to MEP works.
  • Monitor compliance with NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and authority requirements.
  • Drive testing, commissioning, and operational readiness, ensuring smooth handover to clients/operators.
  • Manage subcontractors and consultants to achieve program, cost, safety, and quality objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including contracts, permits, commissioning reports, and O&M manuals.
  • Provide clear communication and regular updates to stakeholders, consultants, and the project team.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services), or equivalent extensive industry experience (preferred, not essential).
  • Minimum 5 years' employment experience in a project management or senior engineering role, ideally within building services / MEP delivery.
  • Experience managing HVAC and multi-disciplinary services on large-scale, multi-level high-rise projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, building services systems, and commissioning practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
