Firesafe Group Pty Ltd are a leading provider of fire protection systems to the Construction, Mining, Resources and Government sectors in both Western Australia and Victoria.
Our Bibra Lake fabrication centre is the leading producer of wet fire sprinkler systems and valve sets, with full welding, threading, roll-grooving and painting facilities.
Firesafe provide all aspects of fire protection, including wet-fire sprinkler systems, water mist and deluge, Special-Hazard foam and gas suppression systems, and dry-fire alarm and detection systems.
We are seeking an experienced **Procurement Manager** to join our growing team, based in Bibra Lake.
With an overriding commitment to working safely, promotion of safe working practices with colleagues and contractors and care for the environment, your key requirements for this role will be:
- Management of the purchasing, warehouse & workshop teams
- Manage the fabrication workflows within the company's internal system
- Purchasing of materials and plant hire for all business units (Wet fire & Dry Fire) as required
- Co-ordinate and manage logistics for all deliveries
- Prepare quotes for fabrication of products and manage the dispatch of these items
- Plant hire logistics and ordering for all sites
- Collate pipe and stock lists for all projects, purchase and coordinate delivery in conjunction with Site Supervisor, Project Manager and Designers request
- Forecasting of works and preparation of financial budgets
- Conduct stock takes of stock and materials
- Ensure all purchasing, stores and fabrication employees are complying with the companies safety standards and policies
- Conduct toolbox meetings with purchasing, warehousing and fabrication teams and address any OH&S issues.
- Management of all logistics of materials to site through the company's internal system
- Manage and forecast stock and sales
- Maintain Best Practice Purchasing at all times
- Maintain and build business relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Maintain market knowledge of products and prices
- Negotiate pricing structures with suppliers
**Requirements**:
- Relevant qualifications in Procurement or considerable experience in a similar procurement management role.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working in Construction environment
