Second Homes is a building company specialising in traditional-style homes designed for backyards. We are a growing, close-knit team based in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs, committed to delivering high-quality builds with a personal touch.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and professional Customer Service Administrator / Receptionist who can also assist in managing our social media platforms. This is a full-time position where you'll play a key role in being the first point of contact for our clients and supporting our office operations. Experience within the building industry will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reception duties: Answer phones, and handle email enquiries.
  • Provide customer service support, assisting clients throughout their building journey.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars.
  • Prepare and maintain client documentation.
  • Draft and manage building contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the preparation and submission of building permits and related documentation.
  • Assist with social media content creation and posting across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Support the wider team with administrative tasks as required.

About You

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, CSA, or administrative role (experience with a builder is a strong advantage).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Experience preparing contracts and/or building permit applications is highly desirable.
  • Confident with social media management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Friendly and approachable, with a professional manner.
