The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and focused Leading Hand to join our Service Team at Laverton. You will be overseeing and mentoring all workshop employees. You will also be leading the retail service of our heavy vehicle workshop and ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of a diverse range of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the quality of Service Technician's work
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
  • Maintain Service quality standards and targets
  • Ensure efficient and effective safe work practices
  • Schedule and coordinate planned maintenance activities and breakdowns
  • Provide direction, technical support, leadership, and development to all workshop employees
  • Conduct thorough checking to reduce defective work, service policy claims, reworks, breakdowns, and road tests
  • Other workshop duties as required

About You

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (Australian Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanics)
  • Practical working knowledge of Auto IT System or similar
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Mechanic Experienced (5-9 years) or Advanced (10+ years)
