Job description:
We're looking for a results-driven Field Sales Manager to lead and inspire our Trade Account Management team at Taits Mitre 10 Trade Centre.
Based in our Laventon trade centre and reporting directly to the Group Trade Sales Manager, you will lead, coach, and drive growth in a high-impact role where you'll manage sales performance, strengthen customer relationships, and execute strategic plans to achieve ambitious growth targets.
As the key link between national strategy and local delivery, you'll develop your team's capability, drive trade sales excellence, and ensure our customers continue to receive the trusted service Mitre 10 is known for.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow trade revenue.
- Identify opportunities in key "Whole of House" market segments.
- Coach and mentor Trade Account Managers across your territory.
- Support your team with pricing, quoting, and tenders to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Set clear targets and KPIs, conduct field visits, and foster a strong, safety-first culture.
- Partner with major builders, trade partners, and distributors to strengthen relationships.
- Represent Taits Mitre 10 at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.
- Provide accurate forecasts and actionable insights to senior management.
- Work closely with logistics, operations, and marketing to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support training initiatives and ensure your team's product knowledge remains current.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in sales management, ideally within a field-based role with regional or multi-site responsibility.
- A hands-on leader who actively supports and empowers their team to achieve commercial outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing field or trade sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership, and clear communication skills.
- Customer-focused and motivated to grow both people and business performance.
- Background in the hardware, trade, or building industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, forecasting tools, and Microsoft Office.
