What You'll Learn

As a Junior Foreman, you'll work closely with a Site Manager and be trained in every aspect of project delivery, including:

  • Leading subcontractors and building leadership skills
  • Managing WHS: inductions, SWMS, toolbox talks & safety walks
  • Programming: planning weeks & months ahead
  • Quality control on all project stages
  • Site organisation: set-out, deliveries, permits & client meetings

In time, you'll step up to run smaller projects independently as you progress toward Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site managers in achieving construction program milestones and quality outcomes

  • Execute physical works on site and supervise subcontractors as needed

  • Liaise with supervisors to provide direction to workers, promoting efficiency and productivity
  • Assist with coordinating labour, equipment, and materials to meet daily goals
  • Perform safety assessments and ensure OHS compliance across worksites
  • Foster professional relationships with clients, contractors, and team members
  • Contribute to ongoing learning and development within the team and your Cadet

What We're Looking For

  • A passion for construction and a desire to build a career in the industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in residential construction
  • Availability across Monday - Saturday
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a relevant qualification (Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction, or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and safety regulations
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transport
