About the Role

As Deputy Director of Academic Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a contemporary, globally relevant curriculum and driving consistency across our campuses. This is an opportunity to lead with influence, collaborate with outstanding educators, and ensure Ivanhoe Grammar remains a centre of educational distinction. This is a full-time academic leadership role tenured to three-years with an ongoing teaching position.
Based at the Ridgeway Campus, the role reports to the Director of Academic Learning and works in close partnership with the Director of Evidence-informed Learning, Heads of Pedagogy and Curriculum Leaders.
Your Everyday
You will:
- lead the design and delivery of high-quality, future-focused curriculum across Years 7–12
- embed the Ivanhoe instructional model and evidence-informed teaching practice across campuses
- drive consistency in assessment, reporting, and learning management systems
- ensure compliance with educational standards and maintain high-quality metrics for student learning
- use data and quality assurance processes to monitor and enhance student outcomes
- represent the School at academic and community events, building strong networks and sharing expertise
About You
- You're a strategic thinker with a passion for curriculum innovation and educational excellence.
- You hold current VIT registration and bring leadership experience in pedagogy and staff development.
- You've designed and implemented curriculum aligned with VCE, IB, and VCAA standards, improving student outcomes.
- You're a confident communicator who builds trust, empowers teams, and fosters collaboration across campuses.
- You're deeply committed to child safety and compliance, with expert knowledge of protocols and policies.
- You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on leadership and resilience.
