Charlie's Automotive, a family-run business with over 25 years of trusted service, is seeking a fully qualified and experienced automotive mechanic to join our team in Regents Park, Sydney.

Position Details:

  • Location: Regents Park, Sydney (NSW)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekend work)
  • Position Type: Full-time
  • Start: Immediate start available for the right candidate

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated automotive mechanic with a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience. This role involves a wide range of mechanical work, with a strong focus on engine removals, heavy vehicle repairs, and general servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain petrol and diesel vehicles
  • Perform engine removals and installations
  • Carry out repairs on light and heavy vehicles
  • Complete logbook and general servicing
  • Identify faults using diagnostic tools and test drives
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Work both independently and as part of a small team
  • Communicate effectively with team members and, at times, customers

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified automotive mechanic (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
  • Extensive experience with engine removals and installations
  • Experience working on light and heavy vehicles
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills across various makes and models
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Valid Australian driver's licence
  • Own tools preferred (or willingness to acquire them)
  • Must be currently residing in Australia

  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
