Newspot which is currently under new management is a multi-franchised dealership which includes exciting brands such as MG, Suzuki, Kia, RAM and LDV.   The new dealership will be set up with the technology to support the modern workshop and the future of automotive.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanic looking for the next step in their career to join us a senior technician.  The role will include supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians to maximise their talent and help them with their career journey.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilising your strong technical expertise
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
  • Identify and resolve complex mechanical issues, using advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organised work environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers about the status and details of their vehicle repairs

What We're Looking For

  • Formal trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, with a strong understanding of various vehicle systems and components
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service
