HomeRepair is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suncorp Group Ltd (Suncorp), a major general insurer in Australia and New Zealand. Our primary business is to provide residential repair and Make Safe services in Australia for insurance claims made by Suncorp's home insurance customers.
About the role
Reporting to the Assessing Team Leader – Technical & Virtual Support you will be responsible for supporting customers and trade partners by conducting thorough assessments of repairs for damaged homes. You will leverage your prior experience in repair supervision to engage effectively with HomeRepair's trade partners, customers, and on-site Assessors and collaborate closely with the case management team to ensure a seamless customer repair journey.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret reports (internal and trade/specialist)
- Review and maintain repair cost accuracy and ensure accuracy of scopes of work
- Conduct virtual assessments with customers
- Estimate damages and recognise non-compliance or maintenance issues
- Conduct quality reviews of repairs and gain customer feedback
- Work closely with stakeholders with a collaborative approach
Skills & experience
- Building trade qualification
- Previous experience supervising repairs
- Significant stakeholder management skills
- Experience in managing weather-related events
- Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code
- Ability to interpret Product Disclosure Statement's and determine policy response
