About the Role

As an Events Desktop Assessor, you'll assess property damage either via desktop or virtually, determine claim scope and quantum, and support Claim Managers to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll play a key role in ensuring fair, timely, and accurate claims outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct desktop and virtual assessments to determine claim scope and coverage
  • Communicate clearly with customers, repairers, and internal teams
  • Support digital claims processes and promote virtual assessment tools
  • Identify and manage risks, including fraud and underwriting concerns
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and share insights with your team
  • You will be involved in assessing all types of natural hazard events, from small-scale weather-related claims, to major cyclone, bushfire and flood claims

About You

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Confident with technology and virtual assessment tools
  • Insurance or building/trade experience (highly regarded)
  • Knowledge of claims processes and policy interpretation
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning
