ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing compliance, and supporting business operations. You'll work closely with senior leaders to provide insights, streamline processes, and contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives.

This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who can hit the ground running, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.

DUTIES

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Lead branch and regional reporting discussions
  • Manage the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Oversee BAS, IAS, and FBT compliance requirements
  • Assist with audit preparation and external reporting
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior team members

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • CPA or CA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting background with 5+ years' experience
  • Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Excel (intermediate–advanced)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Immediately available or able to start at short notice
