This position requires hands on leadership, coaching, a thirst for continuous improvement, strong NDIS compliance knowledge to lead a dedicated team of Disability Support Workers including permanent and casual team members who will support the four awesome individuals in their SDA home.
Role Title: Supported Independent Living Manager
Employment Type: Full Time (76 hours a fortnight)
Location: Box Hill, Victoria
Salary: $100,000-$139,000 p.a. plus super (depending on experience and qualifications)
Bring your passion to lead our Supported Independent Living team in Box Hill, where you will lead by example, nurturing and encouraging a home environment that enables every resident to enjoy a quality lifestyle aligned with their unique goals, aspirations, and individual support plans.
The position responsibilities include:
- Oversee 1 house catering to 4-5 clients and empower them in their decision-making and goal planning, whilst emphasizing the importance of continued relationships with family and loved ones.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to a dedicated team of Disability Support Workers including permanent and casual staff.
- Implement, monitor, and review staff performance, and hold regular home meetings, and individual supervision.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including care teams, day service programs, allied health professionals, informal supports & families.

- Make the Complex Simple. Engage in continuous process improvement with your team, ensure feedback is highly valued and proactively implemented, positive changes are actively implemented based on your insights and forward planning.
- Please note the role is 76 hours a fortnight (full time) with varied shifts from Monday to Sunday which include dedicated admin times, and direct client support.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A positive, can-do mindset, that truly is a custodian for person centred care andbuilding the capacity and wellbeing for the residents/participants within the home.
- Experience leading successful teams and the demonstrated ability to create and enhance a positive team and home culture.
- Experience leading a team in an accommodation setting (SIL) is required.
- Good communication including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members, key workers, care teams and families.
- Experience supporting participants with complex care needs and have experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
- Understanding of the NDIS and relevant State and Commonwealth legislation / regulation relevant to Service Delivery. Including the governance skills to ensure team compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
- Strong understanding of NDIS compliance, reporting, and safeguarding obligations
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Self-motivated and able to make confident decisions independently
- Able to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Case Management Software.
- Demonstrated experience with, budget forecasting, planning, and reconciling.
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved wherever needed
- Support new team member onboarding and readiness for shifts
- Be the primary escalation point for permanent team members and participant support concerns
- Monitor service quality and ensure all supports are aligned with participant goals
- Liaise with participants, families, and external stakeholders professionally
- Maintain compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and ensure the business remains audit-ready
- Lead and attend internal and external meetings, represent the organisation and/or participant confidently
- Address and resolve day-to-day issues and concerns across the team, and work toward implementing a preventative strategy to reduce the concern over time.
- NDIS Worker Screening check.
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) required.
- Full Victorian Drivers Licence (must be willing to drive a van).
- Current Police Check or willing to undertake a Police Check.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $139,000.00 per year
