Job Description

A bit about the role:

This newly created leadership role offers a rare opportunity to shape our training offering from the ground up. As Group Training Manager, you'll set the direction for learning and capability across Bindaree Food Group from feedlots to processing sites and beyond.

You'll lead the design of a Group Training Framework, introduce smarter digital learning solutions, and build a consistent, engaging, and future-focused training culture. With training recognised as a key driver of safety, performance, and career growth, this role is your platform to make a tangible and lasting impact.

This permanent full time position can be based from either our Burleigh Heads (ability to work 2 days in our Brisbane Warehouse) or Inverell site. The role does require some travel to visit sites as needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the Group Training Strategy to align with business goals and workforce needs.
  • Provide governance to ensure training meets WHS, QA, and industry compliance standards.
  • Champion a learning culture that promotes safety, engagement, and professional development.
  • Lead and mentor site-based training teams, ensuring consistency and collaboration across locations.
  • Optimise and innovate digital learning platforms (ELMO, iLeader, LMS).
  • Partner with business leaders, regulators, and RTOs to maintain compliance and industry alignment.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

  • Proven experience leading training or L&D functions in a large, multi-site operational environment
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislative and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated success building capability and consistency across diverse teams
  • Proficiency with digital learning systems and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) essential
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Education or Management (desirable)
