With a breadth of experience across an extensive range of sectors, Hogarth offers the unrivaled ability to deliver relevant, engaging, and measurable content across all channels and media - both established and emerging. WHAT YOU'LL DO
This role is an exciting opportunity for a Photographer with experience in fast-paced production environments, a creative talent keen to create high-quality visual content for high-volume e-commerce and social media platforms. You'll be excited about the opportunity to collaborate within a dynamic team, jumping at the opportunity for professional development and exposure to innovative industry practices.
As a dedicated studio Photographer, your advanced proficiency with professional DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, studio lighting, and tethered shooting software will be essential. You will execute high-volume product and lifestyle photography (still life, flat lay, on-model), ensuring strict adherence to client brand guidelines and technical specifications. This involves preparing for shoots by understanding briefs, setting up equipment, and working closely with Stylists, Production Coordinators, and the Ecomm Studio Executive to optimise product presentation.
This role would suit a technically proficient and creative problem-solver, someone who is comfortable thriving in an agile, high-volume production environment. Someone keen to participate in discussions and initiatives related to new technologies, workflows, and creative approaches, contributing ideas and supporting proof-of-concept projects where applicable.
Please note – you will be required to be onsite in our Port Melbourne-based studio 4 to 5 days a week.
ABOUT YOU
- You have proven experience as a Photographer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in high-volume studio product and lifestyle photography, shooting on-talent ecom as well as product.
- You have advanced proficiency with professional DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, studio lighting equipment (strobes, continuous lights), and tethered shooting software, such as Capture One.
- You hold a solid understanding of photographic principles including composition, lighting, colour theory, and depth of field.
- You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom, for basic image adjustments and file management.
- You demonstrate an ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- You're passionate about product presentation that is on brand and attractive to consumers
- You're a strong communicator, with interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration within a team, taking direction, and adapting to evolving creative and technical requirements.
- You have a hungry interest and curiosity for emerging technologies and their application in visual content creation, including AI.
Diversity & Inclusion
Hogarth is an equal-opportunity employer. That means we believe in creating a truly inclusive culture that values diversity, equity and inclusion for everyone through our ideas, our people, how we behave and how we conduct ourselves. We strive to recruit people from diverse backgrounds and support them to achieve long-term success. This not only makes Hogarth a better company and place to work, but an environment where everyone can give their point of view, experience connection, enjoy opportunity and feel a sense of belonging.
We welcome applications from everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or belief, gender, gender identity, age, national origin, marital status, military veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, or physical or mental disability. As part of our commitment to making our hiring processes as equitable as possible, we are currently rolling out a policy which ensures that hiring managers review CVs only after they have been processed through an automated anonymisation system. This aims to ensure that all candidates are considered for interview based solely on their experience and what they can bring to the role. The solution, provided by MeVitae, scans and redacts CVs to reduce potential reviewer bias.
