About Historic Rivermill:

Historic Rivermill, located in the Gold Coast Hinterland, is a farm cafe that combines history and nature with modern facilities. It has access to the Coomera River, serving as both a peaceful retreat and a place for activities like dining, horse riding, animal feeding, weddings, and community events. 

We are seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy riverside café and events venue. This is a hands-on role, combining leadership responsibilities with active floor supervision. You'll lead by example, working alongside the team to deliver exceptional service — from greeting guests and managing bookings to taking orders, running food and drinks, and ensuring smooth service flow. The ideal candidate will be confident managing staff, highly organised, and comfortable stepping into any FOH role when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the FOH team to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Oversee daily café operations and event service coordination
  • Manage bookings, rostering, and staff training
  • Ensure high presentation and service standards at all times
  • Work closely with kitchen, events, and management teams to deliver smooth operations

Requirements:

  • Proven FOH or hospitality management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Flexible to work weekends and public holidays
  • RSA certificate required
