As we expand to seven days a week to better serve our community, we are seeking a dedicated Front of House Manager to join our team for the daily operations of our busy riverside café and events venue. This is a permanent, hands-on role, combining leadership responsibilities with active floor supervision. You'll lead by example, working alongside the team to deliver exceptional service — from greeting guests and managing bookings to taking orders, running food and drinks, and ensuring smooth service flow. The ideal candidate will be confident managing staff, highly organised, and comfortable stepping into any FOH role when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead FOH operations to ensure smooth, timely service

Manage floor operations: reservations, table allocation, and section assignments

Maintain FOH presentation, cleanliness, and service standards

Handle guest issues and complaints, escalating when required

Oversee opening/closing, POS, cash handling, and banking

Recruit, train, and manage FOH team members

Build rosters, manage breaks, and optimise labour to demand

Monitor FOH stock and place/approve orders

Liaise with kitchen on docket flow and dietary requirements

Ensure WHS and food-safety compliance at all times

Support menu reviews and product development

Contribute to cost-saving and efficiency initiatives

Collaborate with managers on staffing, service quality, and promotions

Ensure consistent guest experience across all shifts

Maintain site safety and support emergency preparedness

Requirements:

Proven FOH or hospitality management experience

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Flexible to work weekends and public holidays

RSA certificate required

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00+ per year + Superannuation
Schedule: 7.6-hour shift (Wednesday through Sunday), no Weekend Penalty
