O'Connor Western Australia Volunteer Home Support Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

The role of our Compliance Officer supports Management to ensure the organisation complies with relevant regulatory requirements. The role also monitors compliance and quality systems in line with relevant standards, regulatory guidelines, state and federal law and organisation's policies and procedures. If you have training experience that would be an advantage but not essential.

This is a part time role, 3 days per week working from our O'Connor base.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement across all service delivery areas.

· Strong understanding of legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, in particular the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act 2018, Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Rules 2018, Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act 2024.

· Strong professional written communication skills with the ability to provide written reports and recommendations to management on quality and compliance performance.

· Review quality management systems and improvement plans.

· Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure alignment with legislative requirements and the Aged Care Standards.

· Support our staff and management teams with guidance on compliance, quality systems, and risk management.

· Maintain and update organisational policies and procedures in line with best practice and current legislation.

· Excellent communication with an ability to provide guidance and support to all staff and volunteers in mandatory training

About You

You are a motivated, positive professional with an eye for detail and a passion for quality improvement in aged care. You enjoy supporting continuous learning across the organisation.

To be successful, you will have:

· A minimum qualification in Cert IV Training and Assessment, Auditing or related field.

· Experience in quality assurance, compliance, or risk management within the aged care sector.

· Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and relevant legislation.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· A proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.

· High ethical standards, professionalism, and attention to detail.

· You must have three Covid vaccinations and flu vaccination.

· You must have an unrestricted drivers licence.

· You must have a Police Clearance less than six months old.
