We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Basis Architect Professional to join our dynamic team. This role offers flexibility for full-time employment. There will be travel involved, for this role to New Zealand as per need.

The SAP S/4HANA Basis Architect is a senior technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SAP landscapes, including S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori, and related components. This position ensures system performance, scalability, security, and compliance across on-premise and cloud environments, while leading migrations and upgrades.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Fiori, BTP).

  • Lead installations, upgrades, and migrations, including OS/DB migrations and S/4HANA conversions.
  • Design and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies.
  • Optimize SAP HANA databases for performance and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain SAP system architecture standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with functional and business teams to align SAP architecture with business requirements.
  • Implement cloud hosting strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid IT solutions.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance across SAP environments.
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and system monitoring.
  • Mentor and guide SAP Basis administrators and technical teams.
  • Prepare documentation for disaster recovery and system operations.

Required Skill & Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years in SAP Basis and Technical Architecture.
    • Proven experience in S/4HANA migrations and conversions.
    • Expertise in SAP HANA administration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
    • Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, Fiori, and integration tools.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid landscapes.
    • Familiarity with SAP sizing, monitoring tools, and automation.
    • SAP S/4HANA Technical Architecture certification.
    • Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS).
    • Knowledge of DevOps practices, SAP automation, and AI tooling.
    • Experience with IDM, OData, and SAP BTP.

Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
