Our client represent a large number of water treatment manufacturers from around the globe to distribute their products throughout the ANZ region on their behalf. They carry an extensive range including mechanical, membrane and residential filtration as well as a wide range of instrumentation equipment and have a key focus on promoting quality products.
The company offer extensive product knowledge and support to help assist in design of your system requirements.
Position summary
This newly created position will take ownership of the national sales function, managing a team of 8 experienced sales representatives across Australia.
You'll be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, optimising CRM systems, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You'll also work closely with senior leadership to shape the company's commercial direction, strengthen supplier relationships, and identify opportunities for growth in both existing and emerging markets.
Specific responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a national sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Design and implement effective sales strategies and processes to drive growth
- Introduce and optimise CRM and digital sales systems to improve visibility and performance
- Deliver ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development to junior team members
- Analyse performance metrics and market data to inform strategic decision-making
- Champion a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer focus
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and suppliers
- Identify emerging market opportunities and support business expansion initiatives
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers and the wider team
Required experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven sales leadership experience within the water industry. You're strategic, hands-on, and thrive on building both people and systems. You'll have a natural ability to motivate teams, streamline operations, and drive sustained business growth.
You will also have:
- 5+ years in sales management or team leadership roles
- A strong understanding of water treatment equipment and technologies
- Experience implementing or managing CRM and sales enablement tools
- Proven track record in business development and key account management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- High commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
