Our Lady Of Consolation are looking for a Facilities Support Officer to provide high-quality cleaning and general maintenance services at our Toongabbie site, including the maintenance of our hydrotherapy pool area.  This is a key position providing vital support in maintaining infection control, safety, and the overall aesthetics of the facility.

This position includes both administrative and hands-on responsibilities across the site. Some travel between the Rooty Hill and Toongabbie locations will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the hydrotherapy pool area including floors, walls, railings, and equipment
  • Monitor water quality and temperature, recording readings as directed and reporting abnormalities
  • Perform minor general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, basic repairs, and furniture moving
  • Identify and report maintenance issues and hazards to the Facilities Manager for further action.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational and legislative WHS requirements
  • Carry out daily cleaning of communal areas, offices, bathrooms, and other designated spaces to maintain hygiene and presentation standards
  • Clean and disinfect hydrotherapy pool areas, changing rooms, and related amenities in accordance with infection control and aquatic safety guidelines

Essential Criteria:

  • Current National Criminal History Record Check
  • Previous experience in cleaning, hospitality, or maintenance roles
  • Knowledge of safe chemical use, manual handling, and cleaning procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
  • Pool Operations Certificate or willingness to undertake relevant training (desirable)
  • Previous experience maintaining aquatic or hydrotherapy areas (desirable)
  • Basic handyman and/or maintenance skills (desirable)
