The Opportunity

As a Graduate / Junior Lawyer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced legal professionals, gaining exposure to a wide range of banking and finance transactions. This role offers a supportive environment for career growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support senior lawyers with a primary focus on banking and finance matters while also assisting across commercial and other practice areas as required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Drafting legal documents and correspondence, particularly in banking and finance


• Vetting executed transaction documents and identification


• Attending and arranging financial settlements for financiers, including registrations of mortgages and/or caveats and organising payouts and discharges


• Liaising directly with clients and managing stakeholder expectations


• Analysing and summarising legal documents and preparing various ad hoc documentation, such as deeds and agreements


• Managing calendars and deadlines, ensuring all time-sensitive documents are prioritised


• Developing the ability to appear in court for uncontested and administrative hearings

What you need to succeed:


• Law Degree / Australian legal practitioner and have a minimum of 1 years' post admission experience


• Experience with PEXA is preferred but not required


• Be an enthusiastic and positive team player


• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. You are comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities all at once


• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Sound Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
