About the role

As a Bar Supervisor at Cowboys Leagues Club, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Main Bar. This full-time position is based in Townsville, Queensland, and offers a dynamic and engaging work environment within the hospitality industry.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the bar team to deliver exceptional customer service
• Overseeing the day-to-day bar operations, including stock control, cash handling, and compliance with relevant regulations
• Providing training and support to bar staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
• Implementing and maintaining effective bar procedures and systems to optimise efficiency
• Collaborating with the management team to identify and implement improvements to bar operations
• Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff

What we're looking for

• Experience in a similar role is not required, however, is desired
• Proficiency in cash handling and bar operations
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Thorough understanding of liquor licensing laws and workplace health and safety regulations
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings is required

Mandatory requirements

• Must hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG), or be willing to obtain
• Must hold a Food Safety Handlers Certificate, or be willing to obtain
