Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Lead transformative change in equity, inclusion, and cultural safety across Victoria's justice system.

Court Services Victoria (CSV) is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to join our team as the Principal Strategic Advisor - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). This pivotal role will shape and drive inclusive policy, strategy, and practice across the Courts Group, ensuring our workplaces and services reflect the values of equity, cultural safety, accessibility, and inclusion.

As the Principal Strategic Advisor - DEI, you will:

  • ; Lead the implementation and review of CSV's Gender Equality Action Plan in line with the Gender Equality Act 2020.

  • ; Develop and embed DEI policies and frameworks that align with legislative obligations and workforce entitlements.

  • ; Provide strategic advice on inclusive recruitment, reasonable adjustments, flexible work, and accessibility.

  • ; Design and deliver capability-building programs including unconscious bias training and inclusive leadership development.

  • ; Establish evaluation frameworks and reporting mechanisms to measure the impact of DEI initiatives.

  • ; Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed inclusive principles across policy, culture, and operations.

About you

You are a strategic thinker and inclusive leader with:

  • ; Tertiary qualifications in public policy, law, human rights, psychology, social work, or a related field.

  • ; Deep knowledge of relevant legislation including the Gender Equality Act, Equal Opportunity Act, and Disability Discrimination Act.

  • ; Extensive experience in DEI policy development and implementation, ideally within a complex or justice-related organisation.

  • ; Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering impactful DEI initiatives.

  • ; Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with cultural competence and a commitment to intersectional approaches.

  • ; A collaborative mindset and ability to influence across diverse teams and leadership levels.
