The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and adaptable person to join the Trade Credit & Surety claims team. The role of Claims Assessor will see you taking responsibility for the prompt and fair assessment of claims. You will be reporting directly into the Service Manager - Trade Credit & Surety, and working within a collaborative, supportive and dedicated team.
Your new role
- Process claims in a timely and compliant manner
- Conduct all written and verbal communications with customers
- Maintain a customer service focus when managing challenging situations
- Support the implementation of the Claims strategy
- Maintain all files, systems and databases to ensure that they accurately represent the Claim Management process
- Share information with the team on competitor customer activity and market issues
- Meaningfully participate in training and coaching, and contribute to a professional and cohesive approach to meeting QBE and customer expectations
About you
We are looking for a driven and motivated individual who is commercially minded and solution focused.
- Claims experience in a specialist or financial class of insurance will be highly regarded
- Insolvency, accounting, banking or finance background will be highly regarded
- Experience dealing with brokers and/or corporate customers is highly regarded
- Strong experience in a customer-focused role
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers
- Ability to effectively collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders
- Team player with collaborative mindset and a high level of resilience
- Take accountability and ownership of tasks acting with integrity despite pressures and challenges
