QC Laboratory Technician – Food Industry

Melbourne, VIC | 6-month contract (potential to go permanent)

Salary:
$65,000 + super

Must be available to commence
ASAP

We're looking for a
QC Lab Technician
to join a leading
food/specialty ingredients manufacturer
manufacturer and play a key role in ensuring product safety, quality and compliance.


What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products
  • Coordinating external testing with third-party labs
  • Generating Certificates of Analysis, reports and accurate data entry
  • Maintaining and calibrating lab equipment
  • Supporting hygiene checks, GMP audits and solution preparation


What we're looking for:

  • Degree qualified in Food Science, Applied Science or related discipline
  • Hands-on QC/analytical lab experience (food industry preferred)
  • Experience with GC equipment
  • Minimum
    12 months' experience
    in a similar QC or analytical lab role (food industry preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of OH&S, HACCP and GMP
  • IT savvy, with excellent time management and communication skills
