The Parramatta Electorate Office is committed to serving the community. It is the point of contact for constituents and local community groups to engage with the Member for Parramatta regarding state government services and responsibilities.
About the position
Donna Davis, MP has an opportunity for an experienced office administration professional to join her small and dedicated team.
The Electorate Officer is the initial point of contact for all constituent enquiries. The role involves administrative and community engagement.
The role requires after hours work for which an annual All Incidence of Employment Allowance is paid.

Selection Criteria
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to others with empathy and consideration as well as to liaise with community groups, government and non-government organisations, ministerial offices and the media both in person and over the phone.
- Excellent writing, research and analytical skills including the ability to prepare correspondence, briefing notes, submissions, speeches, newsletters, media releases and online content.
- End to end management of events, forums and community engagement activities.
- Demonstrated superior organisational skills to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement, along with an ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues, while performing at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team
- Good word processing/keyboard, database and computer skills in an office environment. A demonstrated work experience of using Outlook, MS Word, Excel, website, social media and digital communication tools is preferable but not essential.
- An interest in, and understanding of, the NSW political context and Australian parliamentary procedures and processes.
